Meet Gargie: Creative Educator, Storyteller, and Mentor

Meet the Team at Brave Future

As part of our Brave Voices series at Brave Future, we highlight the people who blend passion with purpose, turning their skills into opportunities for others. Today, we’re proud to spotlight Gargie Valerie Kej, Course Manager for IGCSE Business and A-Level Business and Economics, as well as Brave Future’s Content Creator and Storyteller.

If she had to describe her role in one word, it would be: “Creative.”

Blending Education and Storytelling

Gargie’s work at Brave Future bridges two worlds: education and communication. Whether she’s supporting learners in their academic journey or capturing their stories in writing, her focus is on making complexity simple and meaningful.

“My goal is to make learning not just easier but more meaningful,” she explains.

Through breaking down difficult concepts step by step, Gargie encourages learners to discover their own creativity, confidence, and emotional intelligence. She strives to create a space where students can see their potential, take initiative, and express their ideas authentically.

Her days are often a mix of running workshops, holding office hours, grading assignments, and crafting Brave Voices features, different tasks tied together by the same essence of connection, empowerment, and inspiration.

A Bridge Between People and Possibility

For Gargie, her role is defined by impact. She views her work as a bridge: between learners and opportunity, and between stories and the audiences who need to hear them.

“When you care deeply about education, it becomes a part of who you are,” she says.

Whether writing about a student’s journey, guiding someone through a difficult assignment, or crafting a Brave Voices feature, Gargie brings empathy, clarity, and empowerment to everything she does.

Purpose as a Driving Force

Gargie believes that when passion and purpose align, work transforms into something much greater than a job.

“Work is purpose. It’s passion. It’s continuous learning.”

Her approach is anchored in empathy and curiosity, which guide both her teaching and her storytelling. To her, writing is about feeling, stepping into someone else’s shoes, amplifying their voice, and connecting deeply with their experience.

Moments That Matter

One of Gargie’s most cherished memories is when a student asked her to become her mentor.

“She told me she saw me not just as a teacher or writer, but as someone who inspired her. That moment truly touched me. It reminded me why I do what I do.”

This is the kind of connection that fuels her drive: impact over routine, purpose over task.

A Creative at Heart

Beyond her roles as an educator and storyteller, Gargie is a multi-faceted creative. She hosts her own podcast, pursues creative writing projects, and continues to draw inspiration from her travels and teaching experiences across the world.

She also runs her own marketing consultancy, blending creativity and strategy to help brands tell their stories, another way she channels her passion for communication and impact.

And a fun fact? Gargie is also a certified fitness trainer.

“Whether it’s in the classroom, on the page, or in the gym, I believe in helping people become stronger, inside and out.”

Why Her Story Matters

At Brave Future, Gargie embodies what it means to weave creativity into service. She empowers learners not only with academic support but also with the belief that their voices, stories, and dreams matter.

Her work reminds us that education is not just about knowledge, it’s about connection, resilience, and inspiration.

By supporting Brave Future, you’re standing beside mentors like Gargie who bring passion and creativity to every lesson, story, and learner.
